Kodak Building 9

Before it was the centerpiece of Mount Dennis Station, Kodak Building 9 was a haunting urban ruin. Known as the Recreation Building, it once housed a gymnasium, a theater, and even darkrooms for the employees who built Toronto’s photographic legacy. During its years of abandonment, the building became a labyrinth of peeling paint, shattered glass, and vibrant graffiti. I had the chance to document this transitional period, capturing the industrial decay of a site that essentially put the camera into the hands of the masses.
