Don Valley Brickworks
Founded in 1889, the Don Valley Brick Works once supplied the very bricks that built Toronto—from the grandeur of Casa Loma and Old City Hall to the humble heritage homes across the city. After a century of operation, the site fell silent in 1989. Today, transformed into Evergreen Brick Works, it stands as a unique cultural landmark where the grit of industrial history meets the beauty of a restored ravine ecosystem.
Long before it became the community hub it is today, I had the chance to explore the Don Valley Brick Works while it sat silent and abandoned. These images capture the site in its rawest form
