Lower Bay Station

Nestled beneath the bustling transfer point of St. George and Bloor-Yonge lies a silent relic of Toronto’s transit past. Lower Bay station, a “ghost” platform closed to the public since 1966, offers a hauntingly beautiful glimpse into a forgotten era of the TTC. The station served the public for a period of 6 months before being closed off.

These images are the result of a rare opportunity to explore the station during a private tour, capturing a side of the city’s history that few ever see.
